Everyone loves little bird. We will have a server full of little birds (or not. Depends on what the other ones are like. Maybe they're funnier)

Please play DogOnline every day. ...Actually despite that being the tagline it's pretty forgiving about not playing every day lol But it does have daily activities so it counts anyway.

Anyway some of us are dog gaming so. Dog.

^ My dogs. Yeah one of them is KillerKyle from nearly two decade old roblox machinima "roblox masked killer" obviously made by literal children at the time why do you ask

I haven't come up with a theme that I'm totally happy with yet, BUT I've been hard at work on coming up with origins for the Origins mod. They're all really rudimentary right now but the one I'm the happiest with so far is what I have been calling "Little Bird".

Little Bird:

  • is one block tall
  • is extremely fast
  • jumps very high
  • has wings
  • takes more kinetic damage
  • can scream a lightning bolt

This thing suuuuuuucks. It rules.

OvenBreak has just begun its 10th anniversary event, which I have mixed feelings on. The story for it is fun, and it's another spin on the multiverse sorta thing every media (including other Cookie Run games) is doing now, which thankfully I'm not completely tired of yet. However, its special game modes are significantly worse on performance than the normal ones, and regularly crash the app when I try to play it on my phone. Yikes. I wonder if it's just that my phone is starting to get too old (it's only like 6 years old!), or if there are the same memory problems and lack of optimization that are standard for the other games in the series.

Well, I'll play what I can of the update. It's fun when I can actually play it. And you can have a custom character now, like Kingdom has. I like dressing up my gay little cookie and I like that I can actually run as it in this game as opposed to the weird "social" functions the one in Kingdom serves.

Since I am insatiable, Will and I also ended up starting a couple characters on OctoWoW, a successor to TurtleWoW that's sort of reverse-engineered the latter's code or something. No idea how long it'll last, but it has a character export feature ready in the event it goes down, so that's pretty cool. It's basically just Turtle but with a bit more lag because for some reason the servers are constantly being DDOSed.

We're both Night Elves, because I wanted Will to see their leveling zones. He's a druid and I'm a hunter, an inversion of our ChromieCraft classes. OctoWoW also has a variety of "challenge modes" including all the ones Turtle had as well as a few more. We're doing the "Friends Forever" challenge which means we can only get XP if we are both online and grouped up. I figured it'd help keep us from outleveling each other if one of us, say, wanted to run around collecting herbs for an hour because he can't sleep. Ahem.

Dailies / The Amazing Digital Cookie Run
Last post by starsystemerror - Oct 25, 2026, 02:30 PM
Another game I hadn't played since 2021 has also re-entered my life this year. I saw word-of-mouth advertising for Cookie Run Crumble, a new game in the series, a few months ago, and since it was explicitly an idle game, I thought I'd try it for fun. It ended up sending me into a hole of "getting entirely back into Cookie Run" that I both did and didn't expect.

I played LINE Cookie Run back in the day and was there on day one for both Ovenbreak and Kingdom, so that's my Cookie street cred. I'm currently working on an incredibly long article/article series about the entire game franchise that I have no idea when I'll finish, so I'll hold on the "explaining everything about the game" in this post.

There are a handful of other spinoffs, but the three I have on my phone right now are Ovenbreak, Kingdom, and Crumble. I really only play Ovenbreak and Crumble, and have BlueStacks set up on my computer to play Kingdom sometimes, because that game turns my phone into a furnace that eats a battery percentage every couple seconds. Crumble is also badly optimized, so I really only play it when I know I'll be able to charge my phone again soon. Ovenbreak actually plays well and doesn't destroy my phone's temperature and battery, plus it has actual gameplay that I enjoy, so that's the one I play the most. Unfortunately it is the only one of the three that I play that is not doing a TADC crossover event at the moment.

That's right, the title of this thread isn't JUST a stupid joke! The Amazing Digital Cookies are here! The title of this thread will become funnier as time passes after the event, but I could not pass up calling my Cookie Run thread what I have been calling the game series every time I open up Kingdom or Crumble and see the TADC promos.

I think the collab is really cute and though I'm not particularly motivated to grind for them in Kingdom, I'm trying to get as much as I can of them in Crumble. There's a lot of little dialogue and story tidbits scattered throughout both games that aren't anything groundbreaking for either series, but are fun to have since I like both TADC and CR. I am probably one of the oldest members of the target audience for this crossover. >_>

I would love to have the TADC cast in Ovenbreak, but last month they did a cute Sanrio collab, so that's fine. I actually managed to complete at least the main "campsite decorating" mission series during the event period, all without spending any money. I am firmly free-to-play in these games, partly because they throw so much free stuff at you already, partly because I refuse to pay money for gacha games. If I'm gonna succumb to dark patterns, I'll do it with only one of my life resources, thank you very much.

The Arcade / World of Warcraft private serv...

I played WoW's "retail" edition on and off from 2017 to 2021 or so, and no matter how hard I try to escape the grasp of Blizzard, I still have a deep fondness for the game's world and art style. No other MMORPG that I have tried to play has hooked me like this one has. I know Blizzard sucks, and I am well aware of pretty much any moral issue that could be brought up about the game, so as the online activists might say, I "consume this media critically."

Part of this involves not wanting to give the original company my money, so, in the past couple years, I've gotten into private servers.

Last year Will, Paula, and I played on TurtleWoW, which was great, but got sued and shut down earlier this year. Now we're playing on ChromieCraft, a small server that's mostly vanilla WoTLK (2008-era WoW). It's built on an open-source core made and maintained by fans, and I think that's cool as hell.

I still get the itch to try retail every so often, and WoW Forever looks cool, but also I know that the reason Turtle got shut down so aggressively was because it was holding a massive amount of the playerbase that Blizzard wanted to target with Forever. That's gonna be a bit of a sour taste in my mouth for a while no matter how much people gush about Forever.

Anyway, right now on ChromieCraft we're leveling a Tauren Druid (me), a Tauren Hunter (Will), and a Troll Shaman (Paula). We're at about level 26, because another cool thing about ChromieCraft is the server-wide 2x XP boost. I've never leveled a Horde character this far through the Classic world, so it's been cool getting to see the pre-Cataclysm areas.

We're leveling in Ashenvale right now, which I sort of jumped to a little early because I was getting tired of the Barrens, but the difficulty spike is definitely something. Today we tried to do a quest where we had to put down a banner to trigger a tower defense sort of battle. We made the mistake of all putting down our banners at once, which summoned three times the amount of enemies that normally would spawn. And the enemies did not despawn until the banner despawned, which was several minutes. So we had to die, run back to our corpses, respawn, get killed by the mass of bears, respawn again, and do that a few times so we could get out of the Bear Hell World. Classic World of Warcraft, babey! For your viewing pleasure, an incomprehensible screenshot of this event has been attached to this post.

Not fully! Wasn't my intent to replace it but I only can afford to run one server right now.

In enough ways this server is similar but it's also different enough that it wouldn't have worked as just a followup. I imagine some of my design choices will probably disappoint people but I have a vision and I'm gonna try not to compromise on that. I'm not going to launch the server until I feel really confident in a gameplay loop that will hold me for longer than 2 weeks.
